I've been a graphic designer for 15 years, working my way from television, to an offset printing company, then multiple-casino marketing and big bank marketing. The budgets have also run the gamut, from zero bucks, to $500 for everything, all the way to a monthly printing budget with no ceiling.
It's one of those jobs that some days you think you're the luckiest person in the world, to get PAID to do what you're doing, and other days, you're just grateful that you get to go home and design for no one else.
This last year I've done some freelance jobs and concentrated on my own art, which had been pushed to the back of life for a loooonng time. It's been great to discover old talents, and refine my style. In the last few months I went back to work part time at a local print/copy shop, which is fun. I really missed working with people every day.
